Update your course library links for fall!

The CCCS online library has recently undergone a dramatic expansion; all electronic resources are now shared among the CCCS college libraries (although CCD students continue to have access to the Auraria Library).  As part of this project, some resources you may have relied on in the past for your courses may have changed, or been replaced by others, while many new databases have been added, greatly increasing the scope and depth of library coverage across the system.

One consequence of this change is that each and every link in your course (all modalities) needs to be reviewed before the semester begins, and many will need to be updated.  (This is a one-time event and will not need to be repeated each semester.)

Please join Marcus Elmore, CCCS Access Services Librarian, for a live webinar on identifying links which need to be updated and the process for doing so.  An overview of the new online library and discovery service will be included.

Webinars will be held:

  • Friday, August 4, 11:00 a.m. – noon (Zoom link)
  • Wednesday, August 9, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. (Zoom link)
  • Thursday, August 17th, 8:30-9:30 a.m. (Zoom link)

(at least one of these will be recorded and available for viewing after the fact)

Please visit the new online library at https://cccs.libguides.com/librarycentral.

Your college library is still in full operation, and your local librarians will be happy to help you orient yourselves and your students to the new online resources!  Contact them or reach out to the CCCS library staff (cccolibrarian.online@cccs.edu).
