Colleagues,
The summer semester kicked off on May 30th with a total of 20 different courses being offered through our new Colorado Online Consortial Model. In other May news:
- We are reviewing feedback from students, instructors, and staff who participated in the Spring 2023 Pilot, along with enrollment, pass rates, and financial data. A summary report will be available in June.
- The deadline for submitting course materials selections for Spring 2024 courses was May 15. We are preparing cost information and will follow up with State Discipline Chairs regarding missing information.
- The State Discipline Chair workgroup met May 16 to review survey results and work on a proposal to recognize the additional responsibility and workload associated with Colorado Online in the coming year.
- The RFP evaluation team chose Jira to manage ticketing across the system because it is easy to set up and manage. We are already using an existing Jira ticketing system for the new LMS support which is being hosted at the CCCS-IT datacenter. D2L support requests from students and instructors are being tracked there, and colleges can log-in to check on their support history. A major part of the new implementation will be taking how we are using Jira now and moving it to the Cloud.
The next Colorado Online Info Session will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28.
If you have any questions about the project, don’t hesitate to contact me or Tammy Vercauteren, Project Director of Online Strategic Planning.
Sincerely,
Landon
